SAFF Women’s Championship: Nepal set to take on Bhutan in its first match

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Nepal is set to take on Bhutan in its opening match in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship 2024.

According to the schedule released by SAFF on Wednesday, Nepal has been placed in Group B, where it will play its opening match against Bhutan on October 18 at Dashrath Stadium. Along with Nepal and Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives are also in Group B.

Nepal will play its second match against the Maldives on October 21 and its third match against Sri Lanka on October 24.

Defending champion Bangladesh, along with India and Pakistan, is in Group A. The first match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 17.

The top two teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals. The final match will be held on October 30.

The game will commence on October 17 and conclude on October 30.
