KATHMANDU, April 4: South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) is organizing an international conference in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The conference, being held with the theme of ‘Enabling Business Environment for Economic Development’, aims at enhancing knowledge and information on challenges and opportunities of international trade, role of foreign direct investments in the development of a country, and sustainable development among other issues, according to the organizers. 

Holding press meet in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal, a member of SAFA, said that the conference was being organized on the eve of SAFA’s board and other meetings. 

Chief executive officers of various companies, chartered accountants, financial consultants and managers will be participating in the conference that is scheduled to be inaugurated by Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada.
