KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Rwanda’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Nepal, Jacqueline Mukangira, has proposed Nepal for a bilateral aviation agreement.

During her courtesy meeting with Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale, at the latter's office on Sunday, the ambassador proposed the Minister to go for the bilateral aviation pact.

The ambassador insisted on the agreement, citing that it would help promote tourism business in both countries, and thus further consolidating the bilateral ties. On the occasion, the ambassador urged for the exchange of mutual cooperation in culture and tourism sectors.

The Minister responded to the proposal positively and assured of addressing it through a due process.  The Minister said, “We have taken Rwanda's proposal for the bilateral aviation agreement positively and it will proceed towards that end through an official channel.”  Ministry’s Secretary Maheshwor Neupane and Joint Secretary Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane were also present on the occasion.
