POKHARA, Feb 26: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the parties affiliated to the ruling alliance will be ruined if it is broken.

Addressing a gathering of CPN-UML Gandaki provincial level leaders and party induction program, UML Chairman Oli, who is also the former prime minister, claimed that the parties affiliated to the alliance would be wiped out if the alliance is broken in the upcoming local elections.

Stating that he had received the news that there was an agreement to pass the MCC not to break the alliance, Chairman Oli said, "I have just heard that the MCC will be passed and the alliance will not break. This alliance will not be broken and should be broken. However, if it breaks, it will ruin the parties affiliated with it.”

Gesturing with both hands, he said, “We will not say come to fight with us one by one. We will let them come to us at once and they will all fall together.”

UML Chairman Oli remarked that there was no courage among the parties in the alliance to contest the election alone. “Just let May 13 to come by, these parties will lose in such a way that they won’t be able to get up for seven days,” he said.

Similarly, Chairman Oli accused the coalition parties of conspiring to postpone the election for fear of losing it. "A case has been registered against the chief justice for not allowing the election to take place," he said.
