TANAHU, Oct 15: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has stated that political stability and good-governance are imperative for the lasting democracy.


At an interaction programme organized jointly by Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Center) Vyas Municipal Committee in Tanahu, NC leader Poudel, however, said that plots are being hatched to weaken democracy in the country.

Rural development and employment creation is today’s need, he said while calling for the creation of an environment conducive to retain youths within the country and effectively stop exodus Nepali youths to foreign countries for employment.   


He said that the electoral alliance of the ruling parties is not for regime but for maintaining good-governance, stability and discouraging corruption. He added that the alliance would bring about massive development in the country.


Also speaking at the program, candidate of CPN (Maoist Center) Hari Bahadur Chuman claimed that the victory of the ruling alliance is certain in Tanahun. 


During the event, NC Central Working Committee (CWC) member Govinda Bhattarai, Internal Affairs Minister of Gandaki Province Dobate BK, candidate of ruling alliance Shyam Kumar Maurati and other speakers shared their views on electoral campaigns and related issues.
