KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has summoned its central committee (CC) meeting for tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8 AM at the party's central office in Banasthali.


Santosh Pariyar, the chief whip of RSP, told Republica that the meeting will focus on discussing various matters, including the national conference, a special campaign in Karnali, local level by elections, the program for Constitution Day, the revision of procedures related to organization building, the report of the closed workshop of the central and all seven provinces, and their achievements.


The CC meeting held on July 25 had decided to hold a national conference.

The earlier CC meeting of the party decided to conduct a special campaign in Karnali, starting the second week of Bhadra (early September). Joint General Secretary of RSP, Bipin Kumar Acharya has been given the responsibility for the campaign's action plan.


There is also an agenda to discuss holding a program in the presence of party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane in all provinces.


Additionally, the agenda includes discussing the revision of procedures related to organization building, the report of the closed workshop of the central and all seven provinces, and their achievements, Pariyar said.


The RSP will also discuss the local level elections in the Central Committee. The Election Commission has suggested holding elections for the vacant local level positions in December.


The RSP has also included an agenda to discuss the program for Constitution Day in the CC meeting.
