KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is now in a difficult situation after being found guilty by the court in a citizenship-related case and deprived of his MP and ministerial posts.

A joint meeting of the Central Committee of the RSP and the Parliamentary Party is being held today, warning that they will leave the government if they do not get the Ministry of Home Affairs, which has been in their hands lately. The meeting will be held at 11AM in the party office. The meeting of RSP was also held last night. But after the meeting was inconclusive, the meeting is going to be held again today. The leaders of RSP said that today's meeting may be extended and if the meeting is extended, it will be discussed without going to the parliament meeting.

According to Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, the deputy parliamentary party leader of RSP, today's meeting will decide whether to stay in the government or not. The Rastriya Swatantra Party's meeting held on Thursday gave Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal a two-day ultimatum to take a decision on the party's demand for a Home Ministry. The ultimatum expired yesterday midnight.
