KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The newly-established Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has gained third position in the vote counting under the Proportional Representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives (HoR) until 5:00 am today.

The RSP has secured 86,024 votes under the PR system. According to the Election Commission (EC), CPN-UML is in the first position with 189,662 votes while Nepali Congress (NC) is in second by getting 167,386 votes. Likewise, CPN (Maoist Centre) is in fourth position with 80,200 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has 45,596 votes to secure fifth position, the EC stated.
