KATHMANDU, May 1: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called a meeting of the party’s Central Committee (CC). A CC meeting of the party has been called on May 11.
According to RSP, the CC meeting has been called to review the recently-held by-elections and the current situation. Party General Secretary Mukul Dhakal said, "Assessment of the overall situation, analysis of elections and other issues will be done in the meeting." A meeting of the party’s Secretariat has also been called on Friday, and a meeting of the parliamentary party has been called on May 6.

In the recent by-elections in Ilam-2, the RSP stood a distant fourth position, a result the party leaders had not expected. May 3 will mark the completion of two months of the RSP joining the government formed by the new ruling alliance. According to the party, discussions in the meeting will revolve around their participation in the government and its impact.
All the party meetings will be held at the central office in Kathamndu’s Banasthali.
