KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who was arrested on charges of misappropriation of cooperatives funds, has been taken to Pokhara from Kathmandu. The Buddha Air flight carrying Lamichhane landed in Pokhara a short while ago.
Lamichhane was initially brought to Kathmandu from Parsa on Wednesday morning before being transferred to Pokhara.

When Lamichhane reached Pokhara, RSP activists gathered at Prithvi Chowk and began a demonstration. The protesters held banners and chanted slogans, calling for the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
Lamichhane was taken from Pokhara to Birgunj for recording of his statement on December 9. After Lamichhane’s statement-recording was completed on Tuesday, he was sent back to Pokhara on Wednesday.
