NEPALGUNJ, Sept 8: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Pashupati Shamser Rana has said that the election of local bodies should be held based on the existing structure.
Speaking at a press meet organised by the party here today, the RPP Chair underlined the need of holding the local election without any delay for the enforcement of constitution.
"It will take time if we go for the restructuring of local bodies before its election. Hence it will be better to conduct the election in existing structure."
He was of the view of addressing the Madhes issues through an amendment to the constitution, stating that party supports demand for two provinces in Madhes and for revision in the citizenship provision in the constitution.
Responding to journalists' query, he said secularism was secretly introduced in the country so his party was in favour of Nepal as a Hindu state.
Sharing his views about the possibility of reunion between the RPP and RPP Nepal, he said chances for reunion still existed as the party had no role in the stalling the reunion process. RSS
