KATHMANDU, Dec 3: NIC Asia Bank Ltd has appointed Roshan Kumar Neupane as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The board meeting of NIC Asia Bank held on Sunday decided to appoint Neupane to the post.

Neupane was working as the acting CEO of the bank after the then CEO Laxman Risal stepped down from his post. Issuing a statement on Sunday, the commercial bank said that its chairman Tulsi Ram Agrawal administered the newly appointed CEO Neupane the oath of office and secrecy following his appointment.

According to the statement, Neupane entered the banking sector as the chief of internal audit department of the then Bank of Asia.

Neupane, a chartered accountant, has already worked as chief risk officer, assistant CEO and deputy CEO of the bank. The new CEO has expressed commitment to take the bank to a new high in collaboration with all stakeholders toward contributing for the economic development of the country, according to the statement.
