DAMAK, May 22: Two persons were killed after a bike smashed into a stalled tractor last night along the Kamal rural municipality's Padajungi road stretch along the East West Highway.
The bike (Ko 33 Pa 1951) struck a tractor (Me 1 Ta 4228) parked at a roadside at 11 am killing Raju Limbu, 31, of Urlabari – 8, Morang and pillion rider, Bimala Limbu, 25, of Patharisanischare.
The two succumbed to injuries at the Life Line Hospital in Damak while undergoing treatment, according to Area Police Office, Damak. Police have detained the tractor driver and impounded the vehicle for investigation.
