GULMI, Jan 21: The five-day Ridi fair that took place at Ridi of Gulmi district has witnessed financial transaction of Rs 370 million this time.
More than 500 stalls set up in the fair drew the big transaction, shared Ruru Friend Club Chairperson Ram Lal BK.
This year there was a big attraction of visitors to the home-made materials rather than the ready-made stuffs of the market. With this the sale of domestic materials also went up which enthused the traders and entrepreneurs in the fair.
As in previous years the fair this year also saw the sale of hand-knitted Radi Pakhi (which is made up of sheep's wool), woollen sweater, winter cap and raw wool.
Club's ex-Chairperson Himal Shrestha said that the high volume of transaction this time has excited the business community and the organizer as well. RSS
