KATHMANDU, March 9: The government is registering the revised Truth and Reconciliation Bill in the Parliament today. A cabinet meeting held on Thursday morning took a decision to this effect.
The government showed interest in the bill after the case against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was filed in the Supreme Court. The first hearing in the case has been scheduled for today at the apex court.
A joint meeting of the eight parties of the Maoist faction on Tuesday had decided to resolve all issues related to transitional justice through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
