KATHMANDU, May 16: The term of elected peoples' representatives of the local units will start seven days after the announcement of poll results.
"Their five-year term will start seven days after returning officers announce poll results," said Election Commission Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.
Revising Local Level Election Regulation the EC has included provision of administering oath of office and secrecy. "Returning officers deployed to the local units themselves will administer the oath of office and secrecy to all elected officials of local units," said Spokesperson Sharma.
