KATHMANDU, April 19: The resolution proposal registered in the Koshi Province Assembly has been passed by a majority.
UML's Chief Whip Rewati Raman Bhandari passed the resolution proposed in the Provincial Assembly on Thursday by a majority vote in the Provincial Assembly meeting on Friday.
As 52 provincial assembly members stood in favor of the resolution proposal in the meeting, Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista said that the proposal was passed by a majority in the Provincial Assembly meeting.
CPN-UML and Maoist Center had demanded a special session against the Chief Minister (CM) of Koshi Province Kedar Karki and submitted a resolution to direct the CM Kedar Karki to take a vote of confidence within 26 to 30 days and not to take long-term important decisions.

The resolution proposal was discussed in Friday's meeting of the provincial assembly.
