KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Stakeholders from Dang district submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday seeking the government’s support in infrastructure development of some projects which have been stalled for a long time.
During the meeting, political leaders, lawmakers, people's representatives at the local level and leaders from the private sector from Dang district drew the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli towards the overall economic and physical infrastructure development along with the need for upgrading the Tarigaun airport.
NAC to conduct flights twice a week at Tarigaun Airport
CPN-UML General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, federal lawmakers—Deepak Giri and Menaka Pokhrel, UML central committee member Ghanshyam Pandey, mayor of Tulsipur sub-metropolis Tikaram Khadka, deputy-mayor Syani Chaudhary, among others were present on the occasion.
Upon receiving the memorandum, PM Oli expressed commitment that the government would pay adequate attention to upgrade the airport as well as the expansion of the Lamahi-Ghorahi-Tulsipur road.
