SINDHUPALCHOWK, Jan 20: A four-member search team has been mobilized in the Langtang region to find out the whereabouts of missing two students of Bouddha-based Kumari English Boarding School.

Chairperson of the Helambu Rural municipality Nima Gyalzen Lama is leading the rescue team with a helicopter.

The students went missing from Goptyefedi of Nuwakot district on their way back home from their trip to Gosai Kunda, a popular Hindu shrine in Rasuwa district.

The missing students are Ongyal Sherpa of Helambu, Sindhupalchok and Japan Lama of Jorpati, Kathmandu.

The local people and authorities have been unable to expedite search operations owing to poor weather amid heavy snowfall.

A helicopter was deployed in the area for the past three days for rescue and search operations. The rescue team is still clueless about the missing students.
