Remembering Narayan Gopal

On the 29th Memorial Day of Swar Samrat (Emperor of Voice) Narayan Gopal, Narayan Gopal Music Trust organized an event on Thurday at his Maharajgunj based residence. Narayan Gopal also known as ‘Tragedy King’ is credited for 100s of evergreen love songs along with others.  He had sung hit numbers like ‘Yo Samjhine Maan Chha’, ‘Aakha Chopi Narou Bhani’, and ‘Euta Manche Ko Maya Le’.

Every year Narayan Gopal Music Trust organizes the event, as a tribute to his contribution for Nepali music fraternity amid his death anniversary.

Born to Asha Gopal Guruacharya (father) and Ram Devi Guruacharya (mother) on October 4, 1939, in Kathmandu, he breathed his last on December 5, 1990.
