CHITWAN, August 9: Chitwan locals have started a relay hunger strike in support of Dr Govinda KC who has been staging a fast-unto-death demanding reforms in the medical education sector.
Dr KC started his fast-unto-death since last July 24. This is his 11th hunger strike. KC supporters led by Solidarity for Govinda KC Alliance, Chitwan staged the hunger strike saying that the government paid no heed to the demands raised by him.
The alliance had submitted a memorandum to Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta before they began their hunger strike at Chaubiskothi.
