Regmi, Upreti hold talks

KATHMANDU, May 14: Chairman of the Interim Election Council of Ministers, Khil Raj Regmi, and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Neelkantha Upreti held a meeting today on the preparations for the Constituent Assembly elections.



In the meeting that took place at the Prime Minister´s residence at Baluwatar, Chairman Regmi urged the Chief Election Commissioner to expedite the ongoing voters´ name registration process and to conclude the task as soon as possible, said Bimal Gautam, Chairman Regmi´s press advisor.[break]



During the meeting, Regmi and Upreti discussed on ways of addressing the suggestions given by different political parties on various provisions contained in the ordinance providing for the election of the members of the Constituent Assembly.



They also discussed declaring the date for the election, Gautam said.
