Red Cross instructs district branches and agencies to adopt integrated accounting system

KATHMANDU, May 3: Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) has requested its district branches and agencies across the country to adopt an integrated accounting system.


The NRCS has initiated the adoption of an integrated accounting system to streamline its renewal process.

With the approaching 49th convention of the NRCS, the timely submission of audit reports to the district administration office is imperative for renewal. Thus, there is a pressing need to expedite the audit process.


Professor Sudarshan Prasad Nepal, the president of NRCS, said that the audit reports from all 77 districts were necessary and urged the district chapters to ensure timely submissions.


He said that the time has been fixed to complete audits at the center by August and subsequently renewing by October. Professor Nepal said that the Red Cross has conducted various programs and activities, which reached over 2.5 million individuals last year.
