Record-holding climber Mingma G Sherpa welcomed at TIA (Photo Feature)

Record-holding climber Mingma Gyalje (G) Sherpa was given a grand welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Sherpa has set the record as the first Nepali to summit all the eight-thousand-meter peaks in the world without the aid of supplemental oxygen.

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Record-holding climber Mingma Gyalje (G) Sherpa was given a grand welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Sherpa has set the record as the first Nepali to summit all the eight-thousand-meter peaks in the world without the aid of supplemental oxygen.


He has also submitted the highest peaks of all seven continents. Various organizations welcomed him at the airport with music, traditional khadas, and garlands. Upon his return to Nepal, Sherpa was greeted with an overwhelming welcome at the airport, where family, friends, and admirers celebrated his extraordinary accomplishments.
