Reconstruction uncertain in absence of definite report

RASUWA, April 6: The mountainous rural people are still struggling to survive their lives in a smooth manner as it has been almost two years since the earthquake occurred. 

Locals of Karumang and Haku of Dandagaun and Lamgtang area are still languishing in temporary huts with complicated life style when the report of the geologist is not made public. 
Chairperson of Rasuwa Civil Sociery Babulal Tamang said that people are keen to know whether the earthquake ravaged sites are worth-living. 

Likewise, Chairperson of District Natural Disaster Relief Committee and Chief District Officer Chomendra Neupane said the residents of Langtang and Hanku are surviving a very difficult life. 
The earthquake survivors are not in a position to receive state-sponsored reconstruction relief amount when there was no geological report of Thulopani and Besi Hanku areas. However, the process of integrated settlement has taken pace in Khalte of Uttargaya rural municipality. 

Local people have urged the authorities concerned to reinstate the health facility, schools and police posts devastated by the earthquake. 

It has become difficult for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the structures in absence of concrete geological report of the area. RSS
