RCT moves on top

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) climbed on top of the Martyrs Memorial B Division League football tournament after a 1-0 win over Satdobato Youth Club at the artificial turf of ANFA ground, Satdobato. 

Bike Tamang scored the all-important goal for RCT as early as in the third minute and skipper Dilip Chhetri of the Jamal-based club made some heroic saves to deny Satdobato from scoring. 

RCT, with 15 points, opened one-point lead over New Road Team which holds a match advantage over the former. Satdoabato stands seventh with 10 points after seven matches.
At the APF ground, Halchowk, a lone goal from Sunil Biswakarma in the first half injury time gave Bansbari Club 1-0 win over Tushal Youth Club. Similarly, the match between Divine Boys Union Club and Mahabir Club ended with the same scoreline after Ganesh Khadka scored the decisive goal in 40th minute for Boys Union.
