Rastriya Banijya Bank transfers Rs 20 million to PM’s Disaster Relief Fund

KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Rastriya Banijya Bank has donated Rs 20 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.


Dilip Kumar Dhungana, the chairman of the bank's board of directors, presented a check for this amount to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

In response, Prime Minister Oli expressed his gratitude to the bank, stating that such support and solidarity are crucial for providing relief to the people affected by floods, landslides, and inundation.


Devendra Raman Khanal, the Chief Executive Officer of the bank, said that the contribution was made as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility. Additionally, the Council of Ministers met on Monday and decided to initially deposit Rs one billion into the Disaster Relief Fund.
