KATHMANDU, May 18: Bibeksheel Nepali candidate Ranju Neupane (Darshana) is following Raju Raj Joshi, mayoral candidate of Nepali Congress.
Even though UML candidate Bidya Sundar Shakya is taking lead for the race of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayoral post, Ranju is in the third position in the vote counting after NC.

According to the latest update which is underway at Rastriya Sabhagriha in the capital, Bidya Sundar Shakya is ahead of all the mayoral contenders with 6, 586 votes. NC candidate Joshi is following Shakya with 4, 215 votes.
Similarly, Ranju is following Joshi with 2, 735 votes while Sajha Party candidate Kishor Thapa is trailing way behind with 1, 976 votes.
