KATHMANDU, Oct 21: The Historical Rani Pokhari, located at the heart of Kathmandu, is all set to be inaugurated today.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will inaugurate the renovated monument later in the afternoon.

Rani Pokhari, the Malla-era pond with great religious and cultural significance, was one of many heritages destroyed by the earthquakes of 2015.
It was built by King Pratap Malla in 1671. It took almost five years to complete the reconstruction of this heritage to its original style.
After the inauguration, the Balgopaleshwor Temple will be open to the public during this year’s Tihar celebration.
Similarly, Durbar High School is also being inaugurated on Wednesday. The school was rebuilt by the support from the Chinese Government.
