SIRAHA, Oct 13: The Lahan-based Ram Kumar Sarada Uma Prasad Maurarka Memorial Hospital has shut all its services including emergency from Tuesday after one of its health workers tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recently.
In a notice earlier today, the hospital administration stated that it was forced to close all services including emergency. The emergency services, however, will resume after 12 hours, read the notice.
Sunil Prasad Kushbaha, chief of the hospital, said that they are going to disinfect the emergency ward to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The infected health worker is currently undergoing treatment.
“Other health workers in our hospital who had shown the symptoms of COVID-19 also underwent PCR tests and their test results are awaited,” Kushbaha added.
