KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The bodies of six people who had gone missing in a landslide that occurred in Lekhark, Doramba, Shailung-3, Ramechhap, have been found.
Kaushal Neupane, information officer and Inspector at the District Police Office said that the deceased have been identified as Chandika Thapa Magar and her 2-year-old son Ayush, Urmila Pahari, 57, Sandeep Pahari, 30, Bigyan Pahari, 14, and Santosh Pahari, 11.

According to Inspector Neupane, Pudki Pahari, Kale Pahari, Jhyaukiri Pahari, and Bipita Pahari are still missing in the landslide. However, Anjana Pahari was rescued safely from last night’s landslide and is reported to be out of danger, according to the police.
As soon as they received information about the incident, locals, police, and the Nepali Army reached at the scene to start rescue and search operations. The landslide also washed away a concrete bridge over the Andheri Khola.
Meanwhile, the Charikot-Manthali road section along the Pushpalal Highway has been blocked due to flooding.
