RAMECHHAP, July 7-A fatal bus accident took place in Ramechhap, Sunapati Rural Municipality-5, near Lubhughat. As many as 12 people died in the accident. According to Chandra Kumar Shrestha Chief from District Traffic Police office, Ramechhap. The bus (Ba 3 Kha 8396) was on its way to Kathmandu via Kandadevi-Senapati.

According to DSP Rajkumar Thing of the District Police Office, Ramechhap, nine persons died on the spot and three others succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment. The bus fell about 300 meters down the road.

According to him, 25 others were injured in the incident. According to locals, four women and five men died on the spot. The deceased are yet to be identified, police said.

As soon as the accident was reported, a team including the Chief District Officer and the chiefs of the security forces in the district rushed to rescue the injured.
