Rainfall with lightning and hailstones across the country likely today

KATHMANDU, March 21: At present, along with the local winds, western winds are also influencing the country, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division. Due to its effect, it is currently raining with thunder in some places of the country.

There will be normal to heavy rain across the country this afternoon, while there is a possibility of rain with lightning and hailstones in some parts of the hilly areas of the country, including the Far West and Lumbini provinces, according to the division.

Similarly, there will be partial to normal showers across the country tonight. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of the country and one or two places in the plains.
