Rainfall predicted across Nepal for next three days

KATHMANDU, July 26: Rainfall has been predicted in most of the places across the country for the next three days due to the influence of the monsoon wind. 

Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti said that light to moderate rain will take place in most of the places while heavy rain is predicted in some places as the low pressure system is seen gradually advancing closer to the Terai region of Nepal. According to Nagarkoti, heavy rain is likely to occur in a few areas of Sudurpashchim province today.

Likewise, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places of Province no 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces on Tuesday night. Heavy rainfall is predicted at one or two places of Province no 1 and Bagmati province.

Light to moderate rainfall is likely at many places throughout the country, and heavy and very heavy rainfall at some places on Wednesday. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged people to take necessary precautions. 

The weather is likely to be generally to fully cloudy throughout the country at present with chances of light to moderate rainfall at some places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces and in a few places of the rest of the provinces.

As per the weather update shared by the Division, Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 22.0 degrees Celsius and maximum of 31.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.5 degrees Celsius while Dhangadhi recorded the highest temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius.
