KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The country's weather pattern has witnessed a westerly trough and low-pressure system formed in the Arab sea. As a result, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The MFD has forecast chances of heavy snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region.
Lack of rain and snowfall affects apple production
The sky of the Kathmandu Valley has been cloudy since early morning today and the minimum temperature of the valley has been recorded 10 degrees celsius today.
Likewise, the weather is forecast to remain generally to mostly cloudy in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the provinces tonight. "Light rain is likely to occur at a few places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province," the MFD said.
