Rain closes road in South Kanchanpur

KANCHANPUR, June 19: The Daiji-Beldandi road that connects the southern part of Kanchanpur district to the district headquarters is closed as the road is submerged in water following continuous rain since past few days.



The fair-weather road is waterlogged at many places rendering it inoperable since June 16. Transport service has been halted due to this condition, causing inconvenience to the people.[break]



Twenty kilometers of the 30-kilometre Mahendranagar- Beldandi road is not asphalted, therefore, inoperable during the monsoon season.
