"A country can't be prosperous without providing quality education to students. Education itself is basic infrastructure for the well-being of society. The teachers play a crucial role to maintain quality education in the country. In another sense, we can measure the level of education by measuring the level of teachers," he said. Pokharel said that quality education matters a lot to the country's social development.

Likewise, Former Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said that the new federal set-up has created sort of confusion in the entire Secondary Level Education of the country as the local bodies are now entitled to design the curriculum of Secondary Level Education.

"Now, 80% of children go to school. It proves that the country has achieved remarkable progress in the education sector," he said. Mahat urged the government to address the genuine demands of the school teachers. "The government should pay attention to maintain quality education across the country," he added.
