KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Dipesh Kumar Pun, who has been implicated in a cooperative fraud case, has stated that he was appointed as the secretary of Supreme Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited without his knowledge.
In a report made public by the parliamentary committee investigating the cooperative fraud case, Pun testified that he was oblivious to the appointment while attending the cooperative's general assembly as a guest.

Pun mentioned in his statement that he tendered a resignation from the position six months later, after he discovered that he was the secretary of the institution. He added that his resignation had already been approved by the general assembly.
Pun also stated that he learned about the institution’s chairman being in detention while he also was in custody and claimed to have no knowledge of the institution or its transactions.
