KATHMANDU, June 28: The three District Administration Offices have decided to allow public vehicles with more than 25 seats to operate inside Kathmandu Valley from Tuesday. They will, however, require following health safety protocols and the odd-even rule for daily operations.

The decision to lift the ban on public vehicles was made by the three Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu valley during a meeting held on Monday. Public transports will be allowed to run inside the valley from Tuesday.

According to Prem Prasad Bhattarai, Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur district, vehicles with large capacity will be allowed to operate by maintaining a safe physical distance between the passengers. Similarly, grocery stores and shops are also allowed to remain open from 11 AM till 6 PM.
