"As a member of the provincial committee, we could not take action from here, so we have recommended it to the center," said Gautam.
He said that Prasai, who has been doing activities against the interest of the party for some time, has been recommended to the center for action after party members insisted that Prasai should be expelled from the party.
Contrary to UML's policies and principles, he courted controversy a few days ago for hosting former king Gyanendra Shah and his son Paras during the program.
Prasai, who is also a medical entrepreneur, has started a campaign to save religion and nationality. He launched the 'Mega campaign to save nation, nationality, religion, culture and citizens’ from Kakadbhitta last Monday.
