KATHMANDU, June 15: The provincial governments will present their budget for fiscal year 2018-2019 today in their respective provincial assemblies.
As per the provision of the Intergovernmental Fiscal Management Act, the provincial governments have to present their budget 20 days ahead of the fiscal year calendar.
Provincial governments rely on fiscal transfer from federal government, revenue shared from the divisible fund and their own revenue sources to finance the budget.
As reported, the following budget is scheduled to be presented:
Province 1: Rs 35 billion
Province 2: Rs. 30 billion
Province 3: Rs. 40 billion
Province 4: Rs. 30 billion
Province 5: Rs. 30 billion
Province 6: Rs. 22 billion
Province 7: Rs. 26 billion
