KATHMANDU, July 14: Province 2 government has decided to provide Rs 300,000 each to the families of the people killed in the monsoon-triggered floods in the province.
A meeting of the provincial Cabinet held at Madhes Bhawan on Saturday decided to provide immediate relief to the victims. “It's an immediate relief for the families of those killed in the floods over the past three days,” said the province's Internal Affairs and Law Minister Gyanendra Kumar Yadav, emerging from the Cabinet meeting.

The meeting has also asked the federal government to mobilize security personnel equipped with helicopters to rescue the locals trapped in floods and provide adequate food to the people displaced by the disaster.
Meanwhile, Samajbadi Party Nepal and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal have appealed to their party leaders and cadres to get involved in rescue operations and support the rehabilitation of those displaced by the disaster. The two parties have issued separate statements, appealing to their leaders and cadres to carry out rescue operations.
