MORANG, Oct 8: Two more COVID-19 related death cases were recorded in Province 1 on Thursday morning, taking the province’s COVID-19 death toll to 89.
An elderly from Biratnagar died of COVID-19 in home isolation and a youth who was undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) also succumbed to the same disease.
The deceased elderly has been identified as an 82-year-old man from Biratnagar-5 who had tested positive for the virus on Oct 5. He was in home isolation since then, according to the Municipal Office.
Similarly, the deceased youth, 39, was from Dharan-10, who had tested positive for the virus on Sept 28 and was undergoing treatment at BPKIHS.
So far, Province 1 has witnessed 89 cases of fatality linked with COVID-19 including 23 females and 66 males.
