Protest erupts in Butwal against splitting of Province 5

BUTWAL: Protest has erupted here after the government registered the constitution amendment proposal to split the Province 5.

Student leaders have resorted to protest at the major places of the city since early Wednesday morning. Students from Lumbini Commerce Campus, Butwal Multiple Campus among others have enforced a transport strike against the amendment proposal.

District Chairman of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the student wing of CPN-UML, Bal Krishna Pandey said that they will fail the amendment proposal by protesting from the streets. 

Most of the schools and shops have been closed due to the protest.
