KATHMANDU, March 25: The All-Nepal National Free Students' Union (ANNFSU), affiliated with the CPN (Unified Socialist), staged a demonstration this morning at Bishwa Bhasha Campus on Exhibition Road, voicing their opposition to the removal of Kulman Ghising from his position as Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The protest saw students carrying placards and chanting slogans against the government, showing solidarity with Ghising, who had gained widespread appreciation for his efforts in improving Nepal's power sector. The demonstrators strongly criticized the government's move and expressed their concerns about the future of the country's energy sector.

The most intense moment of the protest came when students burnt an effigy of Energy Minister Deepak Khadka, blaming him for the decision to remove Ghising.
