KATHMANDU, March 27: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the country would make headway to progress after holding all three upcoming elections.
During a programme organized to garner suggestions from Bidwat Sabha (intellectual assembly) on the party's proposed concept of 'prosperous and happy Nepal' on the eve of the local elections, Chairman Oli said election is the foundation of democracy, so it is everyone's responsibility to make it a success. The right choice and right decision of people helps build good leadership, he added.
He argued that the adamant position for amendment of constitution by some particular leaders cannot be materialized. The country's interest is above the party's, and it is what democracy says, underscored Chairman Oli.
According to him, it was not good to delay joining the 'One Belt One Road' initiative launched by China.
Moreover, he said the activities of the National Reconstruction Authority were not satisfactory of late. RSS
