KATHMANDU, April 27: The prohibitory order enforced in the Kathmandu Valley starting from Thursday has been extended by a week.
Earlier on Monday, a meeting of the three district administration offices in the Kathmandu valley had decided to enforce a week-long prohibitory order in the valley from April 29 which has now been extended by a week.

A cabinet meeting decided to extend the week-long prohibitory order in the valley by another week, stating that a week is not enough to break the chain of the COVID-19 infection.
With this, the prohibitory order in the valley will now be in place till May 12.
Following the announcement of the prohibitory order, a large number of people have started leaving the valley.
