ROLPA, June 24: The ongoing prohibitory orders enforced in the Rolpa district since May 5 have been extended by 10 days.
According to District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC), prohibitory orders have been enforced in the district till July 4. However, government offices, banks, financial institutions, and shops are permitted to provide their services while following health protocols from 6 AM till 1 PM.

Similarly, the District Administration Office has decided to lift the ban on government and private vehicles such as two-wheelers and lightweight vehicles inside the district. Also, public transport vehicles like tempos and taxis will be allowed to run with a maximum capacity of three passengers.
There are currently 303 infected patients in Rolpa. As many as 4,319 tests were conducted in the district out of which 1,964 patients tested positive for COVID-19.
So far, the district has recorded 18 deaths following the second wave of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Apart from this, more than a dozen people who went outside the district for treatment have died as well.
According to the District Administrative Office, as many as 1,747 people in the district have recovered from the infection of the deadly virus.
