Priyanka Karki is the first ever Nepali actress to join Cannes Film Festival

Nepali actress Priyanka Karki is going to become the first ever Nepali actress to attend the ‘Cannes Film Festival 2019’ being held in France.

Karki is attending as the brand ambassador of Cannes representing Nepal in the popular annual international film festival which has 72-year-long history.

The festival which started on May 14 will run till May 25.  Various renowned figures including Elton John, Selena Gomez, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone are participating in the festival.

Karki is flying for Paris on Sunday evening. She is scheduled to attend various events from May 20 to 24.  She will walk into red carpet on Monday.

Elated Karki wrote on Instagram, “Thank You NEPAL for showering me with so much love, support and appreciation. I will do my best to make us all proud. This one is absolutely for Nepal.”
