Prithvi Jayanti being observed today (With Photos)

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: The 300th Prithvi Jayanti is being observed in the country today. On the occasion, former king Gyanendra Shah along with his supporters paid respect to the statue of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, located at the western main gate of Singha Durbar in Kathmandu. 

Similarly, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale, and Former Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa also laid wreaths at the statue.
